What to do in the unlikely event that a consignment is delivered short or damaged.
In the unlikely event that a consignment is delivered short or damaged, please contact our Claims Department Helen@breentransport.com within 7 working days of delivery. Your consignee must sign the delivery note accordingly upon receipt of the goods, at the delivery destination. With regret, we are unable to process claims without a claused signature on the POD. The words “Unchecked” or similar are not accepted as claused. Should your customer wish to claim for any shortage or damage, a copy of the commercial invoice must be supplied, showing the cost of the goods, excluding VAT. There may be a number of additional documents that our insurers require completion of which will be provided by our Claims Department. A designated claims handler will be assigned. This will be the point of contact for all enquiries regarding the situation.
